What does The Trust Company of Manhattan do?
We offer individuals, families and businesses a full range of services for the creation, preservation and enhancement of client portfolios. This includes Investment Accounts, IRAs - both traditional and Roth, Trust Administration, Retirement Plan Administration, Charitable Gifts, Public and Private Foundation and Endowment Management and Estate Management and Settlement.

We enjoy local independent ownership and management. All decisions are made locally. Our independence allows us to maintain a level of service and continuity that our clients deserve.

How does The Trust Company select investments for their clients?
Our recommendations are not influenced by proprietary investment products
and services. We will objectively select the investments that best fit the needs of our clients. In addition, we do not accept commissions or fees of any kind from brokerage firms, banks, life insurance companies or mutual fund families through which we invest client assets.

How does The Trust Company charge fees?
Investment management fees are based on the value of client portfolios. This ensures that our incentives match our clients' - to preserve and enhance the value of their portfolio. These fees, which are reported on each client statement, are very competitive in the financial services market, locally and nationally, and provide a great value to the investor.

How is The Trust Company regulated?
We are regulated and examined by the Kansas Banking Department. In addition, an annual audit is performed by an independent certified public accounting firm. All client assets are held by independent third-party institutional custodians. Client accounts are further protected by a Surety Bond and a Trust Errors & Omissions Policy. However, such policies do not guarantee the market value of the underlying portfolio of investments.

What kind of experience do your employees have?
Our professional advisors have credentials and experience that are unmatched by any other advisory firm in the region. Currently on staff we have three attorneys, three Certified Financial Planners, a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor and a Masters in Financial Planning. We are proud of the depth of experience and knowledge of all our staff members, who have each contributed to the success of our company.

Are investments at The Trust Company insured or guaranteed?
No, investment management account securities are not guaranteed. The value of the securities purchased for and held within client accounts are neither insured nor guaranteed. If accounts hold Certificates of Deposit, they mayl have FDIC coverage from the issuing financial institution on that specific investment only.
